The role and mandate
Vice President
Lead environment and data strategy for clients joining Alpha’s front-to-back servicing platform. Bring architecture, workflow design, data analysis and business system flows together in an implementable environment design.
Alpha connects technology, data and services across the investment lifecycle. The workstream must translate that platform breadth into a plan that works for each client.

Lead requirements, workflow and data analysis to make the current and future operating models explicit.
Bring environment architecture together with data mining, ETL, messaging, public and private cloud, enterprise data management and integration across technology and consulting providers.
Delivery & communication
Produce strategy documents, playbooks, architecture documentation and data insights for internal and client audiences.
Coordinate teams through implementation, support consultative business development and give stakeholders a clear account of progress and expectations.
The challenge
A shared plan needs shared meaning: who owns each service, which data is authoritative, what each exchange means and how failures are handled.
These are the boundaries where business requirements, technology choices and operational acceptance need to meet.
My career spans audit, risk, software delivery and front-to-back architecture. I understand the service through its people, systems, data, records and operational controls—and the dependencies between them.
I turn the service into explicit models of responsibilities, events and exchanges. The diagrams show how I make complexity understandable enough for business and technology teams to challenge the design and agree what needs to happen.
At State Street, I adapted back-office architecture to reduce the time and funding needed for middle-office delivery. I also designed and delivered the UK Productivity Model, used for internal planning and new-business pricing.

Record authority is scoped by account, attribute, time and accounting basis. These books are logical roles; a platform can support several.
